Emilio Cavan Alo

(9-Jul-1913 – 25-Aug-1989)

“The creative person is both more primitive and more cultivated, more destructive, a lot madder and a lot saner, than the average person.” –Frank Barron, psychologist

——-

Son of Romano Jurado Alo and Paulina Alesna Cavan.

Raconteur par excellence;

Identified by “Come to me no more, Moses, for the day you see my face again you will surely die!”–Ramses’ admonition to Moses; the line and others in the Ten Commandments movie were memorized by him, to be heartily delivered [why no verb “to elocute”?] on request, which skill set him far out of reach (perhaps his intention) from other Carcar bright boys; it is said he was able to watch the movie countless times—free–because of a taquillera who was a relative; lesser souls were intimidated and put off by his irreverence which didn’t suffer fools gladly but his children–all professionals–are genetic evidence of his soaring intelligence; a true household name in Carcar.

Goodbye, our one-time brother.

Married to Paciencia Panuncialman Macasero with 7 children.
